Holidays and New Year on the way from Globe 230 - in search of warmth

25 January 2026

More and more often we spend the holidays not at one table, but on the road – with a view that changes every day. This year's holiday and New Year's trip was exactly like that. We loaded our Globe 230 camper onto the Ranger and set off.

Once again, it was Italy, with its monuments, great ice cream, warm winter sun, and over 4000 kilometers of pure travel.

Why Italy for the holidays?

Italy in winter has a completely different rhythm. Fewer tourists, milder weather, and cities that allow for exploration without haste. Holiday decorations in historical centers, the smell of coffee and local cuisine – all this creates the perfect backdrop for a camper journey.

Route: Venice – Bologna – Marina di Pisa

Venice greeted us with a calmer face. In winter, the city gains a unique atmosphere – narrow streets, fog over the canals, and silence that is hard to experience here in summer.

Bologna is a must-visit for lovers of Italian cuisine. A stroll through the arcades, markets full of local products, and evening dinners, after which we returned straight to our camping capsule.

At the long end – Marina di Pisa. The sea, sunsets, and a moment of true relaxation. The perfect place to slow down and feel that the holidays can look different than usual.

4000 km of experiences

Thanks to this setup, we could stay wherever the day ended – without reservations, without stress, and without compromises. For us, as a manufacturer, it was another 4000 kilometers of experiences.

Every kilometer of this route reminded us that traveling with a cabin is pure pleasure. It is not just a means of transportation, but also a lifestyle. Morning coffee with a view of another city, dinners in the cozy interior of the cabin, and a sense of independence that is hard to compare to anything else.

Winter Italy – a tried-and-true destination

This is our next winter trip. Italy is always a reliable destination – especially for those looking for warmth. Close to Poland, and a daytime temperature of around 14°C is the perfect escape from our winter weather.

Below are some photos, and now – a handful of useful information.

How is it to drive with the Globe 230?

Traveling with the Globe 230 is very comfortable. Maintaining a highway speed of 110–120 km/h is not a problem at all, while the setup allows for quick movement and reasonable fuel consumption.
